Expert Surgical Skills for Rockwall County Pets

At Rockwall County Veterinary Clinic, we are equipped and trained to perform most any surgical procedure our patients need − and our veterinarians excel in this part of our practice. We also have strong relationships with surgeons and surgical practices in the area Expert Surgical Skills at Rockwall County Veterinary Clinicto whom we can provide a referral if needed.

Our surgery skills include spaying, neutering, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmic/conjunctival surgery, abdominal surgery, intestinal surgery, resection and anastomosis, and enterotomy and gastrotomy (removing objects from the stomach and intestines). In fact, with the way dogs often swallow everything, these kinds of surgeries are actually quite common! We can also perform cystotomies for the removal of bladder stones, C-sections for pregnant females, spleenectomies, and tumor removals. Although most of these procedures require an incision with sutures, we also have a less-invasive laser that is used for cat declaw procedures, nares reconstructions, and small mass removals.

In addition to being skilled in the surgical field, we also put great emphasis on carefully monitoring and caring for your pet before, throughout, and after the surgical procedure. We do so by utilizing pre-anesthetic blood tests, state-of-the-art equipment, compassionate pre- and post-op pain management, and the best combination of anesthetic agents for your particular pet.
