Preventive Medicine

Rockwall County Pets Deserve Prevention Whenever Possible

Most people have heard the expression, An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. At Rockwall County Veterinary Clinic, we truly believe that it is best to avoid problems rather than to fix them once they arise. For this reason, we place a great deal of emphasis on vaccination programs, nutritional programs, Preventive Medicine at Rockwall County Veterinary Clinicheartworm and parasite prevention, and flea and tick prevention.

Preventive care is necessary for maintaining a healthy, happy pet. Annual physical examinations are the foundation of preventive care and allow us to assess general health and discuss nutrition, parasite control, necessary vaccinations, and overall recommendations to keep your pet and family healthy. These examinations are tailored specifically for your pet and are based on several factors, including age and breed. Taking care of your companion animal’s health, preventing disease, and promoting wellness require positive action, involvement, and compassion on your part. We do our part by maintaining a schedule and reminding our clients by telephone or postcard of upcoming necessary health exams to keep your pet “on track” and make sure both you and your pet get the most out of preventive care.
